Advocate Dieketseng Napo - Associate

Dieketseng was admitted as an advocate and joined the Johannesburg Bar in December 2017. She is practising as an advocate as a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates.

She has a general litigation and advice practice with a keen interest in General and Commercial Litigation, Tax Law, Corporate Law, Labour Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law.

Dieketseng has a strong corporate and academic background. She is a qualified Charted Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in good standing. Given her background, she has a keen interest in areas of the law where she can utilise her commercial background.

Prior to joining the Bar, she was a senior lecture in the Department of Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg for 8 years. She has a corporate career that spans 12 years in the financial services industry, consulting on specific transactions covering privatisation, project finance, corporate finance, structured finance and securities analysis of stocks listed on the JSE Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

Dieketseng has been appointed by the Minister of Finance as a Chairperson of the Tax Board for the period of 2018 to 2023. The Tax Board is an administrative tribunal created under the Tax Administration Act as a dispute’s resolution mechanism. The role of the Board is to hear tax appeals involving tax in dispute that does not exceed an amount of R1 000 000.

She has a range of competences which include a strong work ethic, attention to details, willingness to learn new skills and general professionalism. She is well equipped and ready to tackle the rigors that come with the advocacy profession.

Dieketseng holds a BCom Hons from the University of the Western Cape, an MSF from Bentley University in Boston and an LLB from the University of Johannesburg.

Ms Ronelda Cooray - Associate

Ronelda is a well rounded , energetic , eloquent and competent individual who commands any room she occupies. She has honed her passion and skills in labour law over the past 17 years.

Ronelda served as a Commissioner at the CCMA where she gained valuable experience in all processes, including Arbitration, Conciliation and Matters of Mutual Interest Disputes amongst others.

She has extensive experience in training both CCMA staff, shop stewards from various unions as well as managers and employees from corporate businesses such as Pareto, Continuity SA, Telkom, Murray & Roberts, Makro, Concor, Esorfranki , Mowana, Adcock Ingram and various other enterprises.

She is an accredited Facilitator and Assessor with the Services SETA and also served as an Employer’s Organisation Official where she acted on behalf of Companies such as Tolkon Lehumo, Bombela Operating Company, Murray and Roberts to name but a few and has had superior success rate thus far.

She has extensive experience in both the practice and application of labour and employment law and has both appeared and argued on behalf of her clients in various Forums.

As a Practicing attorney with her own Law Firm, she has also obtained experience in both Civil litigation and family law matters. She has also done allot of litigation out of the Magistrates Courts, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court as well as the Constitutional Court.
